Stephen Drinkwater is Professor of Economics and Deputy Dean for Research and Knowledge Exchange in the Faculty of Business and Law, University of Roehampton, London. He is also the Academic Lead on the ADR UK funded EUSS Data Linkage Project that is being led by the Welsh Government. He has undertaken research on a range of demographic and labour market issues, which has mainly been published in peer-reviewed international journals. This has principally involved applying quantitative methods to a variety of large-scale survey and administrative datasets. Much of this research has a policy focus, and he was heavily involved in the impact aspect of 2014 and 2021 Research Excellence Framework submissions. He is an external research fellow at the IZA, Bonn and the Global Labor Organisation, as well as being as a co-investigator on several projects with WISERD.
