I began my working life as a primary school teacher, but as my passion for health, social care, and community resilience increased I took the leap to build a career in this field. I’ve spent a number of years working for the Communities First project in Carmarthenshire to the past 7 years leading patient and public involvement in research for the SAIL Databank. Using the skills and knowledge I have acquired, I am embarking on a new role that involves building collaborative networks and opportunities across Wales to acquire adult social care data for the SAIL Databank/ADR Wales, and make use of that data for priority research within adult social care.
