Amy Jones

Research Officer

Amy is a Research Officer for a number of projects, including a project that explores the research impact of Welsh Government data, a project which examines the use of education data within ADR Wales and engagement with children and young people, and a data ethics project, exploring notions of transparency and data governance. She is also a member of the Welsh Government Social Research Committee. Amy’s role includes working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders, developing research protocols, undertaking scoping reviews and writing and publishing reports. Prior to joining the Welsh Government, Amy was an academic and has extensive experience of research and project management. Her specialisms are qualitative research methods, ethnographic approaches, social theory, poverty and community studies, education, and intergenerational studies. Amy holds a PhD in Sociology, a Masters of Research (MRes), a PGCE (with Masters) in History, and a BA (Hons) in Sociology and History.
